Lisa Chupity started taking voice lessons as a child and has been playing guitar
for thirty+ years. She has studied with Pierre Bensusan, Laurence Juber,
Richard Patterson, William Coulter, Harmony Grisman, and Kay Eskenazi. Her passion
is finger style guitar with a special interest in Celtic and Brazilian music. She plays
and sings all styles of music from vocal choral to jazz. She enjoys improvisational guitar
playing in music jams and is available for specialized playing for gigs or studio recording.
D.B. Pacini meet Lisa at a jam. "I was impressed with her guitar
work and her harmony vocal abilities. We had already determined most of the vocal and instrumental
work for the Emma's Love Letters CD, but I felt Lisa should be brought into the project.
We love her energy."
When told our core-group was in support of Guitars Not Guns (GNG), Lisa said,
"Anything that helps to guide young people in a positive direction is wonderful. I know what
music can do, what having a creative outlet can mean to anyone,
especially to children and teens. I am heartsick at the lack of music programs in
schools today. So many music programs have been drastically cut back or virtually
eliminated. The GNG program is a blessing to kids, and I am excited to help others
learn about it."
