Billy Merryman was born in Fort Pierce, Florida, on June 9, 1971. Since childhood
he has had a promising talent for drawing and painting. At Tampa Technical
Institute, Merryman honed his commercial art illustration and graphic design
skills. He has been a professional freelance illustrator and graphic designer
for nineteen years. For eleven years he has also worked for professional sports
organizations, including NFL, MLB, ESPN, and NHL designing sportswear clothing.
Recently, Merryman illustrated the children's book,
The Adventures of Alexandra by Claudette (CeCe)
M. Jensen. He also just inked a comic book
"Realm Quest,"
soon to be published.
After reading D.B. Pacini's manuscript The Loose End of the Rainbow, Merryman
created the Draft Artwork and composite poster featured on this website. He enjoyed
enhancing the imaginative story with character illustrations.
D.B. Pacini is greatly impressed with his interpretation of the novel's characters. She says,
"Billy has a terrific passion and commitment to excellence that makes him open to a
wide range of projects and collaborations. He truly brings my characters to life."
Billy Merryman is available to do artwork for Emma's Love Letters.
