Alan glances at his wife and his own children, his heart swelling with family love. He looks at other children watching him intently with insecurity in their young eyes. Many have never known a father's love. They'll have to become mothers and fathers themselves to know how precious they should have been. He begins to sing the first verse of Slow Motion Ocean, hearing, with his voice, the voices of the audience singing along:

And the actors are filled with stage fright
Van Gogh may have been insane
When he painted that starry night
All I know is blue
Will never be so true again.
