We’re interested in “G” rated poetry, rhyming and non-rhyming. Each reader may read 1-2 poems
and should complete their material within five minutes. We hope to present 15-18 readers, it is
important that each reader honors the five minute time period.
Teen readers cannot be older than 18-years-old.
Teens under age 18: Please print out our permission form and have your parent or legal guardian
sign it. If you don't have the signed form with you when you arrive, we will give you a copy to
take to your parents. We cannot put your photograph or name on our website without the signed
permission form.
Poetry can be on any subject the reader wishes to write about that is presented in a “G” rated
format. Teens may also read favorite poems written by someone else. Please respect that we do not want any
erotica, X-rated, violent, or vulgar poetry, nor swearing, or use of the “F” word. This is an open-to-the-public
for all ages event.
This is not a competiton or a contest. There will be three terrific door prizes. We will put the names of
our teen readers in a bag and draw out three names. Each teen will have an equal chance to win.
